The Very Reverend Canon Mother Judith A. Heffron
The Reverend Canon Judith Heffron, Mother Judy, graduated with a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminar in 1989 and with a Certificate in Anglican Studies from Bloy House that same year. Ordained a Deacon in 1989 and a Priest in 1990, Mother Judy held assisting positions at St. Luke’s, Monrovia, St. Cross, Hermosa Beach, and St. George’s, La Cañada. In 1993 she was made Priest-in-Charge of Holy Trinity, Covina, and served as Rector to Holy Trinity from 1995 – 2013.
She was appointed Dean of Deanery Six from 2004 – 2013, and was made an honorary Canon of the Diocese of Los Angeles by Bishop Bruno in 2012. Upon retirement from Holy Trinity, the parish Vestry established her as Rector Emeritus.
Mother Judy was married for forty years to her late husband Patrick Heffron, and they have one son, Sean. She lives in La Verne with her Golden Retriever, Titus, two cats, two desert tortoises, and a backyard filled with humming birds!
